RISE is a nongovernmental organization that seeks to enhance the well-being of children, youth and communities and strengthen the protection of women and children through action research, capacity development, advocacy, community-based systems strengthening and programme implementation.
Our initiatives are grounded in the following six principles:

- Promote active participation: participants actively participate throughout the programme life cycle from concept to close.
- Start from strengths: using a strengths-based approach, participants are encouraged to build on their resilience and realise their full potential.
- Build partnerships: taking a whole-of-society approach strategic relationships are maintained with government, civil society and private sector.
- Foster Creativity and Innovation: creating opportunities for new approaches and ideas, the use of technology and iterative problem-solving.
- Be Child/Survivor Centred and Family-focused: our approach seeks to empower the child/survivor by prioritizing their rights, needs, and best interests and strengthening their support systems.
- Use rights-based approaches: the why, how and what we do are grounded in human rights principles and standards.
